The Bulletin Board has three distinct functions: 1.) Reading: Read the messages by just scrolling down the page. The messages are sorted with the newest first. The comments to each message are displayed immediately following each posting so just read them if desired as you scroll down through the messages. Each posted message has a clickable link below it so that you can "bookmark" any message of interest and return to it anytime to view comments. Just click on the "Permanent link" text and then once the page refreshes, bookmark the page. 2.) Posting a new message: To add a new message (which will then be at the top, since it will become the newest), click on "Post a new message" at the top of the bulletin board page, and a new message entry page will appear. Then enter a brief subject, your name (if desired) or a handle, and your message which can be any length, but obviously brevity is usually good for the readers. Finally click on "Post Message" to submit your new posting. Click on "Clear Form" to erase all new info and start over again. Click on "Cancel" to return to the Bulletin Board main page. There is no simple editing method once your message is submitted, but if you make a big mistake, send Gary an email and he can delete it for you. 3.) Adding a Comment to messages: These will be displayed immediately following each posting so just read them if desired as you scroll down through the messages. To add your own comment to a message, click on "here" in the "Click here to add a comment to this message" listed below each posting. Enter the information and click on "Post Comment" to submit your response. |
