This past Saturday (July 24) was our regular fourth weekend of the month work activity. The primary activity was in the Signal Garden.

SIGNAL GARDEN:
Allen and Paul Orton added a third AT&SF motor car indicator (a light type) to the signal garden. The post and conduit are in and now we only need to place the head on the mast. We now have three motor car indicators in a row thanks to Paul and Allen for there efforts. These will all be actuated by the single MCI push-button that currently exists.

Allen, Paul and Ron also poured the footing for the new P E three color signal and the push-button post for it. This is located on the right side of the entrance walk. Next to this new PE signal will also be a new AT&SF three light signal. The footing for this signal will be poured this coming Saturday (July 31). Before the pour, they will need to place about 8 feet of conduit, the J-bolts and the post, but that should go quickly.

The plan is to add another dwarf to the right of the existing dwarf and facing the walk (south). This one will be a three position single color dwarf (east coast style). The hope is to pour it's footing this coming Saturday as well. The plan is to use two J-bolts located in two columns about 6 to 8 inches in diameter and the same height as the other dwarf. Later we will run a 1" conduit from the new three position single color dwarf to the flashers and include a 1/2 " conduit for the push button.

JULY SIGNALS MEETING NOTICE:
--- SATURDAY JULY 31th ---
Allen and Ron will be working in the Signal Garden. Everyone is welcome to help.
